Back in 2014, Toasta rolled onto Melbourne’s streets with one big idea: take the toastie you loved as a kid and give it a serious glow up. Golden and crunchy on the outside, gooey in the middle and pressed fresh to order.
Twelve years on, we’ve served toasties in fields, boardrooms, beaches and barns. Rain, shine, hungover hens parties and 600 guests in 90 minutes? Been there. Toasted that.
How we got here

Here’s the thing nobody tells you about hospitality: it’s the best job going. People let us into their wedding mornings, their kids’ birthdays and the one lunch a year the whole office actually turns up to. We don’t take that lightly.
So the people in the truck are the kind who remember your name and your dietaries, and who would rather turn up early than a minute late. Even Davo, our mechanic, fusses over the truck like it’s his own, so it rolls in shiny and ready to go.
Feeding people well is a privilege. We just happen to do it with a lot of cheese.

Started from the crust, now we’re here. From one cheeky little truck, we grew into one of Melbourne’s most-loved food trucks, serving up at festivals, weddings, offices, and anywhere people need a little edible happiness. Feel-good food that makes you smile and gives you permission to be a kid again (but like, with a killer wardrobe and a Google Calendar full of meetings).
We’ve served toasties in fields, boardrooms, beaches, barns… you name it! Rain, shine, hungover hens parties, 600 toasties in under an hour? Been there. Toasted that.
